Psychotherapist and Parenting Coordinator
Life sometimes challenges us with difficult situations. Sometimes it causes stress, anxiety, depression, or grief. We look for answers to free ourselves and steer our lives back on a positive path.
As a psychotherapist, I believe the answers to my clients’ issues lie within themselves. In my opinion, therapy is a process of self-discovery. Its purpose is to empower individuals, couples, and families, making them active participants in the resolution of their difficulties. I work with my clients and provide them the support they need when life presents overwhelming challenges. In this way, I can help them to attain the relief they seek, achieve a more positive, fulfilling attitude, and reach their goals.
There are several schools of thought and models of psychotherapy. My approach to therapy is client-centered, dynamic and interactive. I view it as eclectic in the sense that while it is a combination of the existential and the humanistic approaches, which emphasize uniqueness, I often utilize cognitive methods to increase awareness. I seek to reduce symptoms and impairments, motivate change, gain insight, and promote growth. My own goal is to be able to obtain positive feedback from my clients about our special relationship and their progress. I am culturally diverse, and because I am fully bilingual, I am able to provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
My office is easily accessible to clients in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
